Make Your Company Data AI-Ready

Reliable data starts with people who own it.

Give AI a foundation it can use: visible business logic, dependable data, and business units with the ownership and resources to keep it that way.

A good fit for

Who’s this for?

Business-unit leaders and data owners working alongside data engineers, analysts, and platform leads. Bring both business and technical perspectives.

Before we start

Bring one business use case and an overview of the data it needs. Coding is not required for every attendee; technical concepts use prepared demonstrations.

The programme

Build the skill, step by step.

4 three-hour sessions over 1 week remotely. The session-by-session outline below shows what we cover.

Session 1Find the gaps that matter

Assess one use case for data quality, accessibility, permissions, definitions, and provenance. Prioritise the gaps that stop the data being useful.

Session 2Make business logic visible

Explore dbt models, documentation, lineage, shared metric definitions, and GitHub review/version control through a prepared example.

Session 3Give ownership the resources it needs

Business units own meaning, quality expectations, and priorities. Central teams provide the platform. Assign named owners, engineering capacity, and escalation paths.

Session 4Keep data usable

Define quality and freshness checks, monitoring, issue ownership, and automated responses. Use n8n for orchestration and notifications alongside the underlying checks.

What you take away

  • AI-readiness scorecard

Good questions

Before you book

Should the business units or IT own the data?

Business units own its meaning, quality expectations, and prioritisation. The central platform team provides shared foundations. Responsibility must come with allocated capacity and clear escalation paths.

Do we need dbt or n8n already?

No. They illustrate visible transformation logic and automated responses. The principles can be applied to the tools your organisation uses.

Is this a technical course or a leadership workshop?

It combines both perspectives. Business owners make ownership and resource decisions; technical participants translate them into quality checks and an actionable roadmap.

What does the starting price include?

The standard remote package for up to 10 people, a one-hour preparation call, readiness checklist, exercise materials, reusable templates, and one 90-minute follow-up clinic within 30 days. All prices exclude VAT. Custom implementation, extensive adaptation, extra participants, and travel are quoted separately. Tool subscriptions, cloud usage, and developer accounts are paid separately.

Can we arrange on-site training?

Yes. On-site delivery uses full teaching days, with travel quoted separately. Remote delivery splits each teaching day into two three-hour sessions. All teaching is in English, with dates arranged by enquiry.
