AI-Assisted Development: From Prototype to Production
Build with AI. Ship with confidence.
Turn AI-assisted prototypes into software your team can test, deploy, and maintain. A practical workflow from the first instruction to the next release.
A good fit for
Who’s this for?
Developers, technical founders, and engineering teams introducing AI-assisted development into their everyday work.
Before we start
Basic programming, Git, and terminal experience. Bring a laptop and access to the agreed coding assistant; the preparation checklist covers Docker and cloud account access.
The programme
Build the skill, step by step.
6 three-hour sessions over 2 weeks remotely. The session-by-session outline below shows what we cover.
Session 1Give your assistant a useful brief
Compare Cursor, Codex, Claude Code, and VS Code extensions. Practise specifications, task decomposition, and effective delegation using one primary assistant selected during preparation.
Session 2Put project knowledge to work
Structure the repository, write AGENTS.md and tool-specific instructions, and use skills and MCP connections with deliberate permissions and confidentiality boundaries.
Session 3Make “works on my machine” repeatable
Use Docker and Docker Compose for local dependencies, configuration, secrets, and a reproducible development environment.
Session 4Catch the thing you just broke
Practise small changes, human review, unit/integration/smoke tests, and required CI checks. Break a feature, catch the regression, and fix it.
Session 5Take the application to AWS
Use Terraform and GitHub Actions to provision and deploy a reference application, with separate environments and restricted deployment credentials.
Session 6Own the next release
Inspect logs and health checks, review costs, verify a release, rehearse rollback, and agree a practical team adoption plan.
What you take away
- Deployed reference application
- Reproducible local environment
- Repository instructions and review checklist
- CI/CD example and regression checks
- Release and rollback runbook
The practical details
A clear scope. A team price.
- One-hour preparation call to align goals and check readiness.
- Participant setup checklist, exercise materials, and reusable templates.
- Live, instructor-led training for your private team, delivered in English.
- One 90-minute follow-up clinic within 30 days of the course.
Each teaching day is six live hours, split into two three-hour sessions remotely. Two-day courses run over one week; three-to-five-day courses run over two weeks. On-site delivery uses full days, with travel quoted separately. Dates by arrangement.
Custom implementation, extensive adaptation, extra participants, and travel are quoted separately. Tool subscriptions, cloud usage, and developer accounts are paid separately.
All prices are per private team, excluding VAT. English-language delivery. Dates by arrangement.
Good questions
Before you book
Do we need to use all four AI tools?
No. We compare the tools, then use one primary assistant for the exercises. We agree that choice during the preparation call.
Can you use our cloud provider?
Yes. AWS is the default; Azure or GCP can replace the cloud module by arrangement. Account access is checked before delivery.
Will we work on our own product?
The starting price covers a prepared reference project. Working on your repository requires a separate scope so preparation and implementation effort are clear.
What does the starting price include?
The standard remote package for up to 8 people, a one-hour preparation call, readiness checklist, exercise materials, reusable templates, and one 90-minute follow-up clinic within 30 days. All prices exclude VAT. Custom implementation, extensive adaptation, extra participants, and travel are quoted separately. Tool subscriptions, cloud usage, and developer accounts are paid separately.
Can we arrange on-site training?
Yes. On-site delivery uses full teaching days, with travel quoted separately. Remote delivery splits each teaching day into two three-hour sessions. All teaching is in English, with dates arranged by enquiry.
